The parties agree that Lecturers employed to render services in Summer Session 2002 on the
UCSB campus will receive a bonus payment for Summer Session 2002, on a non-precedent
setting basis. This bonus will be process as a by-agreement, non-base building payment,
subject to any applicable taxes or other required deductions. The amount of the bonus for each
lecturer teaching a 3-5 unit course shall be equivalent to the difference between 8.5% and
11.1% of the Lecturer's annual (9 month) salary. Lecturers teaching courses of less than 3 units,
or those team-teaching, shall have the bonus pro-rated accordingly. A breakdown, by Lecturer,
of the bonus payment amounts shall be provided to the UC-AFT.
